Corpses dumped in river

Hillcrest detectives are looking for the family of two men who were murdered on Friday 21 March.

HILLCREST SAPS detectives are desperately trying to locate the relatives of two men who were killed on Friday 21 March in the Hillcrest area.

According to Hillcrest SAPS communications officer, Lt France Mkhize, police attended a murder case in Ngcolosi and discovered two bodies that emerged from the Umngeni River.

“Their bodies were tied up with a rope, both arms and neck.

“They had multiple injuries indicating they were assaulted and killed before being dumped in the river.

“Enquiries have been made to find their identity with no luck,” he said.

Mkhize added that there is a strong possibility that the deceased were killed in another area and dumped in the river.

“The two men are approximately 23 years old. One had a yellow wristwatch on and grey underwear. The other man was wearing a brown trouser and green underwear,” said Mkhize.

The detectives are appealing to anyone who might have information relating to this case or any member of their family to contact Det/Sgt Mlu Hadebe on 072 294 0716/031 765 9140.
