KZN Skip Hire employees proud owners of land

Terry and Jo Galloway have helped their workers achieve their dream.

KZN Skip Hire employees, Thomas Sibiya, Simon Molelekoa and David Lebopo, are the proud new owners of a plot of land in Molweni.

The three approached their bosses, Terry and Jo Galloway, and told them about the opportunity of purchasing the land which has three houses on it, plenty of space for more development and breath taking views of Inanda Dam, all for R15 000.

“We went and viewed the land and knew it was a good investment for them. We had the Hillcrest Rotary Car Boot Sale coming up so I told them if you come and help us, we can help you raise the money,” said Jo.

Through their Skip Hire business, they are able to salvage and recycle a lot of thrown away items. Items that can be reused are either sold or donated to charities such as the SPCA, hospice and an underprivileged orphanage. The three workers have also been able to collect valuable items such as doors and window frames that they can utilise at their new property.

They managed to raise about R5000 from the car boot sale and the Galloways have subsidised the rest until they are able to pay them back.

“They are very hard working, working up to seven days a week if we need them to. They know that in order for the business to succeed they need to be dedicated and they are more than willing to do what is takes to make the business work,” said Terry.

The men are very excited about the move to the new property which will mean they don’t have to pay rent any more and can have their families come and stay with them.

“I am very happy about the new house and so happy working for my boss who is helping us with everything and helped us get the land,” said Thomas.
