AN elderly couple and their domestic worker were left traumatised after they were held up and robbed in their home in Trafalgar Park, Pinetown, yesterday morning.
It was reported that three young men broke into the house and robbed the couple. At this stage it is unknown what weapons the men used or how they gained entry into the home.
Sharon Jenkins, of Pine-Ridge Neighbourhood Watch, confirmed that no one was injured during the incident.
It is believed that the robbers were spotted scouting the area prior to the incident, and were brazen enough to return after being chased from the area.
“About half an hour prior to the robbery we received reports from residents that three suspicious men, matching the description of the three robbers, were seen lurking some nearby bushes,” said Jenkins.
The robbers managed to escape with cell phones and other electronic devices.
Pinetown SAPS could not comment at this stage.
