Donation gets tails wagging

Local estate agents raised R13000 for the Kloof and Highway SPCA.

HIGHWAY residents’ eagerness to take part in the Harcourts Real Estate fundraising initiative allowed the group to reach its goal of raising R13 000 for the Kloof and Highway SPCA’s mosaic mural.

“We would like to thank everyone who helped us achieve our target for the mosaic mural which is to be installed at the education centre at the Kloof and Highway SPCA. Namely they are the Upper Highway community, who purchased raffle tickets at the Hillcrest Corner, Watercrest Mall, the Fields Centre and Thomas More Country Fair, as well as Property Junction and our business partners, AMC Hunter, BDE Law, Eastonberry and Associates, Meumann and White and Gareth Ducle,” said Trish Guilhermino of Harcourts Real Estate.

The winning raffle ticket was drawn by Barbara Patrick from the SPCA at the Thomas More Country Fair on 2 August. The winner of the doll’s house was Eric Tocknell, who gave the house to his granddaughter, Lia, who also celebrated her birthday recently.
