Gail leads community tourism in Durban West

With her committee, Gail Bradfield, strives to grow the Durban West Community Tourism Organisation from strength to strength.

GAIL Bradfied has been appointed as the chairwoman of the Durban West Community Tourism Organisation (DWCTO) this year.

Durban West Community Tourism is a local eThekwini initiative and the tourism office for the West of Durban. The DWCTO is a non-profit organisation and the entire committee is run by volunteers, mostly all from the tourism industry. Their mission is to promote tourism into their community areas, which is from Berea Tollgate to Pinetown Tollgate.

It includes the area of Sherwood, Mayville, Cato Manor, Chesterville, Bellair, Westville, Reservoir Hills, Pinetown, Cowies Hill, New Germany, Clermont, Mariannhill, Queensburgh, Westmead and Sarnia.

Gail is the owner of a guest house and conference centre in Westville. She has travelled extensively and is passionate about local tourism.

With her committee, Gail strives to grow the Community Tourism Organisation from strength to strength.

“The CTO is going to grow its membership and awareness of what a local community tourism organization is about. We are involved in several events including, the Westville Fair and the upcoming Chesterville Run, which is an exciting 10km run in Chesterville on Sunday 12 October,” said Gail.
