Father and son injured in Mariannhill shootout

A FATHER and his son are in a serious condition after a shooting incident at a business in Regency Park, near Mariannhill this morning (Thursday, 8 Janaury).

“Exact details of the cause of the shooting and preceding events is still speculative and for police investigation,” said Netcare 911’s Chris Botha.

Netcare paramedics said they received an emergency call to attend to people who had been shot at around 7.30am this morning.

“When they arrived at the scene they found that the two men had sustained serious injuries. After paramedics stabilised them at the scene they were transported to a local hospital under the constant care of advanced life support paramedics,” Botha added.
