Motive for father-son shooting unknown

Police confirm this morning's shooting in which a father and his son were seriously injured.

THE KwaZulu-Natal SAPS communication office confirmed that the Pinetown SAPS is investigating a case of attempted murder following this morning’s incident in which a father and his son was seriously injured in a shootout.

Major Thulani Zwane said: “We can confirm that the Pinetown Police Station is investigating a case of attempted murder which happened in the Nagina area in Pinetown today, 8 January.

“It is alleged that a 51-year-old man and his 33-year-old son were shot at by unknown men while they were inside their business premises.

“The motive of the shooting is unknown and no arrest has been made at this stage.”
