Waterfall murder suspect out on bail
The man who was arrested in connection with the Waterfall murder has been granted bail.

A 55-YEAR-OLD man was granted bail of R20 000 at the Pinetown Magistrate’s Court last Thursday after he was charged for fatally stabbing a man during an altercation outside a take-away outlet at the Linkhills Shopping Centre, Waterfall.
Steven King of the Waterfall Crime Watch Group, who viewed the CCTV footage, said, “There was an altercation outside the food outlet. Initially two people were involved and then a third person got involved. One man fetched a hammer and struck one of the men on the side of the head. He came in for a second blow but couldn’t continue as he was stabbed by an onlooker. The person was declared dead on scene. Centre security must be commended for trying to intervene, but unfortunately it all happened too fast. We would also like to thank all emergency services, the SAPS, Securelink and First In Guards for controlling the scene in such a professional and efficient manner.”
The accused is expected to make his next court appearance on 27 March.
