Kearsney vs Clifton sports results

KEARSNEY College enjoyed an overall awesome sporting weekend, winning the majority of the matches played and settling for only one draw and one loss.

On the cricket field Kearsney batted first to reach 222 all out, courtesy of great scores from James Tedder, Keean Rencken and Luke deVlieg, who scored 49, 45 and 38 respectively.

Clifton School then went in to bat, scoring 117/6 in 51 overs. Despite some excellent fielding from Kearsney, Clifton was able to block out their overs to ensure a draw in the declaration game. When it came to shooting hoops on the court, Kearsney had a clean sweep of all basketball games against Clifton.

However, their second game against the American International School from Johannesburg proved to be their toughest competition. The team lost 39-66, and demonstrated how much they missed the leadership and experience of captain Albert Ojo-Arumakudu, who has an injured ankle.
