SPCA promotes healthcare at clinic

The Kloof and Highway SPCA hosted their second outreach clinic last week.

THE Kloof and Highway SPCA held its second Outreach Clinic of the year last week. During the clinic, which was held over two days, 73 dogs and cats were sterilised, vaccinated and treated for ticks, fleas and other external parasites, and were sent home with some food and a blanket.

According to Lisa Gadd from the Kloof and Highway SPCA, the aim of these clinics is to reach out to the most vulnerable animals in poverty-stricken areas and provide primary healthcare. “We would like to thank the donors who make these clinics possible. Without our supporters’ generosity the Kloof and Highway SPCA would not be able to continue the work that we do in animal welfare,” said Gadd.

For more information about the clinics or how to help in the funding of this project, contact Lisa Gadd on 031 764 1212 or e-mail pr@kloofspca.co.za.
