Students showcase designs at fashion show
The Sizanani Academy of Sewing and Design held a fashion show last week.
SIZANANI Academy of Sewing and Design, situated in central Pinetown, held a fashion show last week. The students had to design and sew a straight-cut skirt and trim it any way they wished.
First year students, who have only been in training from the beginning of February this year, challenged the part-time students, second year students and past students to be the best on the day, which led to a lot of excitement and competition among everyone. The two trainers, Mrs Hlubi and Miss Mweli, judged the competitors and chose the final winners. A celebratory lunch was enjoyed by everyone after the event before students left for their two-week Easter holiday break.
