ENERGETIC dancers clad in colourful attire, many from Westville and Kloof, participated in three separate two-hour sessions in a marathon Zumbathon at the DLI Hall in Greyville on Sunday.
Funds raised at the Zumbathon, which was sponsored by broadband internet service providers, ResiNet, will be donated to CHOC, a charity which offers childhood cancer support.
Durban’s hottest and most talented instructors strutted their stuff on the stage, leading the way through the Zumba moves for classes filled with beginners and experts of all ages.
Zumbathon organiser, Shelley Kreinacke of Cainito, and sponsor, Warren Bricknell of ResiNet, shared similar sentiments after the event: “We would like to thank all participants for expending so much energy all in aid of a worthy cause. Watch this space for news of the next Zumbathon in October!”
