Exciting holiday activities offered for children
Holiday classes offer a variety of entertainment and educational segments for children.
EXAMS are over, it’s the end of the school term and it’s time for children to unwind and enjoy the school holidays. Don’t have any plans as yet to keep them occupied? Check out this list of exciting holiday programmes that are bound to keep your children entertained and educated.
Rocky’s Pizzeria Holiday Club will be hosting an exciting programme for children from Monday, 29 June to Friday, 3 July at St Agnes’ Church, 53 Abelia Road, Kloof, from 8am.
The holiday programme is only open to children from Grades 3 to 7. A fee of R10 a day will be charged, or R40 a week, and this cost includes all activities and snacks. THE Starship Discovery Kids’ Holiday Club will run from 6 to 10 July, from 9am to 12:30pm, at 36 Winston Churchhill Drive, Pinetown. The club, presented by Calvary Church of the Nazerene, is open to children between the ages of six and 12.
Children will enjoy a space-themed adventure about how Peter came to know Jesus. There will also be games, treasure hunts, competitions, story and movie time as well as prizes to be won. HILLCREST Baptist Church, situated at 37 Old Main Road, Hillcrest, will host a Bible Holiday Club from Monday, 6 July to Thursday, 9 July from 8am until noon daily. Registration starts from 7.30am. During these four days, children aged between six and 12 will have a week filled with fun and excitement where they will learn about the attributes of Christ.
With music, compelling stories, games, creative crafts, and much more, children will have an experience which will spark their imagination. Children will be grouped by age and supervised by a team of experienced leaders. Cost is a minimum donation of R10 per child a day to cover the costs of snacks and refreshments. In order to provide a quality programme in a safe environment, every child must be registered to be able to participate.
