Pinetown accident leaves 7 injured

TWO vehicles collided at an intersection along Otto Volek Road at 5am this morning in Pinetown, injuring seven people .

Netcare 911 Paramedics Rescue Unit arrived to find one person had sustained critical injuries, one seriously injured and the other five with minor injuries .

According to Netcare 911’s spokesman, Chris Botha, the injured were found intertwined in the frames of their vehicles as the accident indicates that an errant party skipped a red light.

After paramedics stabilised the patients at the scene, they were transported to various hospitals.

Police will further investigate into the matter.
