Man killed in Pinetown M19 crash

Exact details of the cause of the accident are still speculative and will remain a subject for police investigation.

A MAN was killed and another seriously injured when a car overturned on the M19 near the Dunkeld Road off-ramp on Friday, 28 August.

According to Netcare 911’s spokesman, Chris Botha, paramedics and the rescue unit responded to the scene at around 12.20am and found debris from the wreckage littered across the road and the twisted remains of the vehicle, which came to rest off the road.

“After medics examined the passengers in the car it was found that a man in his thirties had died due to the extensive injuries that he sustained. The other occupant of the car was in a serious condition,” said Botha.

Paramedics stabilised the injured man at the scene, then he was immobilised on a trauma board and transported to a local hospital.

Exact details of the cause of the accident are still speculative and will remain a subject for police investigation.
