Update: Drummond cow still on road to recovery

Molly the cow is still recovering slowly after her traumatic ordeal.

A week after her traumatising expereince Molly, the diary cow who fell 6m down a an embankment into a ravine is still recovering slowly.

She received physiotheraphy for a damaged pelvis but is still eating well and comfortable according to her owner, Roland Pardey.

A hoisting machine has also been borrowed to help lift her up for periods of time while she recovers her strength.

“There appears to be a good improvement in her condition, although she cannot yet stand by herself. Animal Physiotherapist, Annie Windle gave her a good electronic workout this morning (12 October), identifying that her upper left rear leg is not responding too well and needs more attention.

We have adjusted her lifting harness to provide better balance and comfort when lifted three or four time a day to aid circulation. She is still eating and drinking well, enjoying all the attention. Bella, her calf, is never very far from her and is doing well too,” said Pardey.
