DSW staff to work over festive period

Residents are requested to put their refuse out as early as possible during this time period.

WHILE it is the season of giving, the eThekwini Municipality’s Cleansing and Solid Waste Unit (DSW) staff have been strictly prohibited from touting for gifts or money from residents.

Residents are advised to be wary of charlatans posing as Municipal workers who have been known to solicit gifts.

The DSW offices will be closed on 16, 25 and 26 December 2015 and 1 January 2016 but the DSW operational services will continue as normal during the festive season including the public holidays, including Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

Residents are asked to put their refuse out as early as possible during this time period.

Due to the unavailability of the contractors on the 25 December 2015 and 1 January 2016 the collection of the orange and clear bags will not take place on these dates.
