Impoverished communities to benefit from golf donation

"Thank you to QACCS, you truly are an extraordinary group of kind-hearted gentlemen"

Enza, a local non-profit organisation, received R19 900 towards its various outreach programmes from the QACCS Golf Club, which is made up of a group of quantity surveyors, architects, consultants, contractors and suppliers.

Dax Goose, QACCS captain for 2014, decided to donate the money to ENZA, whose aim is to help communities become economically-viable through sustainable social initiatives.

Some of the programmes Enza is responsible for are Jump4Life, which teaches life skills through basketball in the Shongweni Valley; The Living Art Campaign, which helps underprivileged, underexposed African artists make a living from their artwork; the Shalom Hospital Outreach, which provides physiotherapy to chronically-disabled patients at the Hillcrest government hospital; and the Hlengisizwe Community Clinic development project, which aims to help improve the availability of healthcare facilities in Hammarsdale.

“This donation will go a long way to change and improve the lives of many individuals living in impoverished social conditions. Thank you to QACCS, you truly are an extraordinary group of kind-hearted gentlemen,” said Dean Norris, Enza campaign organiser.
