Female driver injured in Caversham crash

The injured driver was transported to hospital under the care of an advanced life support paramedic.

A WOMAN driver was seriously injured in a head-on collision this afternoon, (Monday, 28 December) along Caversham Road, Ashley.

Netcare 911 media liaison officer, Chris Botha said reports from the scene indicate that one of the cars overturned on impact, its twisted frame coming to rest on its roof in the roadway.

“The other car veered off the road and was found on the grass verge.

He said paramedics arrived at the scene and found a woman who was driving the red car seriously injured.

“Passengers of the second car had left the scene, the woman driver was treated at the scene and transported to a nearby hospital under the care of an advanced life support paramedic,” said Botha.caversham 2 caversham 3 caversham

Being a community journalist for years, I can proudly say I love writing about positive community news articles and giving a voice to the voiceless. Seeing people getting assistance warms my heart. Every day is a different challenge and a new learning opportunity. I supply news for our trusted publication weekly, and a few years ago, Caxton ventured into online publication, so I contribute daily to the websites. I could say I am a multimedia journalist, and working in a community newspaper is beneficial as we do not focus on one thing but we do a bit of everything.
