EDITOR – Last week on Thursday (24 December 2015) I went up to Hillcrest from Everton Road via Ashley Drive. On my way into Hillcrest I saw a gardener washing down a driveway with a hosepipe, the section on the pavement.
On my return to Everton Road via Ashley Drive I spotted the gardener talking to a friend on the pavement. He was just standing there while the water poured out of the hosepipe. Further on there was another gardener washing down a driveway.
I think Ashley Drive has the cleanest driveways in Kloof but they do not care about saving water.
It is quite clear that the owners of these houses either do not watch what the gardeners are doing or they do not care if they waste water.
