Hillcrest Primary celebrates Valentines Day

A portion of the proceeds raised at the fun day will go to the Grade 7 outreach project.

THE Grade 7’s  jumped at the challenge to host the best-ever Valentine’s Market seen at Hillcrest Primary School.

They did not disappoint, with some wonderfully creative and cost effective goods being produced and many professionally packed delicious treats.

The field was abuzz with excitement as the Valentine’s clad customers rushed to purchase a special gift for their friends, family, one or two lucky teachers and of course, themselves.

The junior entrepreneurs were kept busy selling non-stop for an hour and a half and treated their customers with fairness and respect, even the little Grade 1’s.

Most of the goods were sold out and the funds raised exceeded the previous years.

A portion of the proceeds will go to the Grade 7 outreach project, the Mike Hardwich Trust, which undertakes to spay and neuter dogs from local rural areas.
