Elderly woman fulfills her dream

"Everything starts with a dream and can be made into a reality."

PINEHAVEN resident, Ann Hibbert (76), believes that age is nothing but a number and it should not stop anyone from reaching their dreams.

Hibbert will be driving around on her red scooter, which she has always wanted to own. This will not be her first time driving a scooter as she said she grew up in an era of motorbikes.

“I used to drive around in a motorbike and everyone in my family owned one.” She said it has always been her dream to own a scooter, which she named her ‘red Ferrari’.

“I have a passion for everything that I do in life, which is the reason I chose the colour red. I love red, it vibrant and it full of life,” she said.

Hibbert advised people not to give up on their dreams. “Everything starts with a dream and can be made into a reality. You are never too old to reach your dream, I live my life to the fullest and I don’t want to look back and have regrets.”

She said she has not been on a scooter in a long time, she still needs to get the feel of it.

“I will practice a bit before hitting the road, I will be very careful, I did not buy it to show off.” Hibbert said she has many things that she still wants to achieve in life, which include swimming with the dolphins and walking with the lions. Her hobbies are cooking, crochet, embroidery, wildlife, the environment and she loves photography.

“I would love to express a big thank you to Simone Hill, Honda sales manager, for her support and help in choosing my ‘red Ferrari’,” added Hibbert.
