AN inquest has been opened at Hillcrest SAPS for local resident, Johannes Jurgens Viljoen.

According to Steven King of SA Crime Watch, Viljoen (63) was reported missing on 18 March. He was last seen leaving his home in Hillcrest at 10pm, wearing a denim and checked shirt. He was driving a white Citi Golf but had left his cellphone at home.

“SA Crime Watch was approached by his family to assist in the search. With assistance from Hillcrest SAPS and neighbourhood watches, we conducted our search. Hillcrest SAPS received a call from someone at Mahatma Gandhi Hospital on Monday, 28 March, which said they had a body that matched the description on the missing persons report,” said King.
