Children use their voices and choose to say no

This gathering was in a response to an initiative requested by Jennipher Sewsunker.

HIS Church School, Grace Place, Happy Valley, Angel’s Desire Crèche, Merryland, Sunflower Montessori, Kingdom Life Educare and Nightingales gathered at His Church and spoke out against child abuse on Wednesday, 25 May.

This gathering was in a response to an initiative requested by Jennipher Sewsunker from the Department of Social Development.

With banners, songs and chanting, the children gathered for an hour and used their voices to speak out and say no to child abuse. Pinetown SAPS was also present to show their support.

Grace Place principal, Debby Van Lennep, said, “This was a positive and empowering event.”
