SPAR helps fill pooches’ bellies

The Kloof and Highway SPCA are still in need of tinned dog food for the dogs currently in its care.

THE Village Mall SPAR in Kloof responded to the Kloof and Highway SPCA’s social media plea for dog food in a big way.

Lisa Mörck, the PR and outreach officer sent out a request for much-needed donations of tinned dog food. The local SPAR then generously donated tinned dog food to the value of R5 000.

“A heartfelt thanks to the Village Mall SPAR for their ongoing support of our SPCA, the animals in our care and our work in animal welfare. The animals in our care are fed twice a day and we use the tinned food, mixed together with the dry pellets to ensure the dogs get a good tasty meal to full their tummies,” said Lisa.

She appealed to the NPO’s supporters to help with the replenishment of the tinned dog food supply. “Any assistance would be greatly appreciated and together we can make a big difference,” said Lisa. Contact Sarah van Heerden on 031 764 1212/3 or e-mail operations@kloofspca.co.za
