BREAKING NEWS: Two vehicles crash on Escom Road

The driver of the brand new white Hyundai i10 is in a critical condition.

A MAN in his 20s is in a critical condition after the vehicle he was driving collided with a bakkie on Escom Road earlier today.

The accident involved a brand new Hyundai i10 that was just driven out of the COR testing station near the Caltex Garage on Escom Road, when it is believed the Toyota Hilux bakkie collided with it.

According to Garrith Jamieson, operations director of Rescue Care, three people from the bakkie were transported to hospital immediately. The driver of the Hyundai was in a critical condition.

Hyundai services manager, Ryan Ritzmann, said his employee had taken the brand new Hyundai i10 to the COR testing station to test the vehicle for road worthiness and was on his way back to the dealership.

The cause of the accident is unknown at this stage. Metro Police and the SAPS were on scene.
