3 injured in N3 crash

THREE people were seriously injured in an accident on the N3, just after the Pavillion off-ramp in Westville this morning. Traffic is heavily affected and authorities have urged commuters to avoid the area.

According to Garrith Jamieson, of Rescue Care, two vehicles collided on the westbound carriageway. One of the vehicles overturned and landed on its roof.

“Three occupants from both vehicles sustained various injuries and were stabilised at the scene before being transported to various Durban hospitals,” said Jamieson.

The cause of the accident is unknown, however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further.
