GRADE 11 St Mary’s DSG learner, Hannah Shirley, is the high school’s SPAR Star of the Month.
Hannah was recently selected to represent South Africa as part of the U19 ladies’ softball team in the Junior World Champs in Florida in July.
Hannah has represented KZN Softball for the last eight years and in 2016 she was selected to play in the South African U16 girls’ hockey team as she had represented KZN for the last seven years.
Hannah plays both club hockey and softball over and above playing for St Mary’s, her province and her country.
Hannah’s dream is to play hockey for the South African ladies’ team and would love to play professional hockey in the UK or USA. Hannah has her sights set on studying sports psychology at the University of Pretoria.
