Church holiday club teaches life values

Between 220-235 children gathered everyday for the programme.

THE Pinetown Baptist Church hosted its annual holiday club during the July break. The theme was ‘Deeper’ which was basically having a deeper identity, truth, love, peace and mission.

Kelvin Law, Pinetown Baptist Church, youth worker said they used each topic as their messages for the day.

Grade 7 learners; Janae Brijlall, Zoe Steyn and Ifeoma Nweke.

“This year we had 35 leaders including myself and on average we had between 220-235 children a day.

The children were divided according to their grades and gender. For example Grade 1 boys were in the dashing dolphin team and grade 1 girls were in the mighty mantas team,” said Kelvin.

On Thursday each child received a small bag of candy floss and Friday was popcorn day.

The church also hosted a parents’ evening on Thursday for parents to see they have done throughout the week.
