Malvern sergeant arrested for attempted murder

It is alleged the arrest is a result of an argument between Oosthuizen and Reddy at the Malvern police station on Thursday, 28 September.

A Malvern policewoman who allegedly threatened to kill her station commander, Col Valerie Reddy, and fired a shot at police officers who tried to confront her, was granted bail on Monday, 2 October.

Sergeant Lana Oosthuizen paid bail of R3 000 after appearing in the Pinetown Magistrate’s Court.
