SEPTEMBER is National Clean-Up Month.

To commemorate this month, the City has planned various clean-up campaigns across the eThekwini municipal area.

The campaigns are aimed at creating awareness and educating the public on proper waste management practices, emphasising the clean ethic message.

As part of its waste management strategy, the City will officially launch its clean-up month in Cato Manor, Ward 29, this week, under the theme: No Litter in My Area.

The Cleansing and Solid Waste department will roll-out various clean-ups in the city centre, townships and various informal settlements throughout the month. The campaigns will also involve educating residents about the importance of a clean, well-maintained City.
