Ntshongweni creche celebrates first birthday

Rodel, along with some if its clients, welcomed spring with a morning spent treating beneficiaries of the Robin Hood Foundation.

THIS October will mark one year anniversary since the Siyanda Creche in Ntshongweni was completed and opened. The crêche was a dream made possible due to the outstanding support for the Robin Hood Foundation’s (RHF) Buy-a-Brick 2017 campaign.

Prompted by the fresh new season of spring, the corporate, Rodel, wanted to revisit the crêche and sponsor a party for the children. A wonderful team of volunteers joined the RHF for a spring party for the 49 children and staff.

The supporters were armed with a two-month supply of porridge, donated by Futurelife Foundation, cupcakes to decorate, treats, stationery, seedlings, compost and a whole lot of love to share.

Kim Griffith Jones, the coordinator of the RHF, said, “This is another one of these cases where you can just see how love matters and how, as a community, when we stand together, we can make such an impact in the lives of others.

“We are so grateful to Rodel for their continued support of our various campaigns, to their clients that joined us for all the goodies they brought for the children and the creche.”
