Grade 3 learner, Raghav Bhoola, is Highbury’s SPAR Star for October.

Raghav was awarded ‘1st Gold’ in the GAJSMA International Abacus and Mental Arithmetic Championship at the end of September.

There were 273 children competing from various countries, in different age groups and levels. Raghav was selected to compete based on his excellent performance at KZN level within the Ability Maths Club at Highbury.

His father, Rakeen Bhoola, said Raghav’s fascination with numbers and problem solving has now developed into a strong passion for maths.
