Four juveniles arrested for Wyebank murder
With the festive season approaching, police have also advised business owners to be vigilant following an increase in robberies.
PINETOWN police arrested four teenagers aged between 15 and 19 years for an alleged murder which took place at a tavern in the Zamokuhle area near Wyebank.
It is alleged the youths and a 21-year-old man were drinking and watching TV at the tavern when an argument ensued over the TV they were watching.

“The four suspects started fighting with the victim who ran away. The suspects chased after him, caught up with him and stabbed him twice. He died on the scene.
Police were called and apprehended two of the suspects; the other two were handed over to the police by their parents,” said Pinetown SAPS communications officer, Capt Bongumusa Manqele.
Business owners advised to be vigilant
WITH the festive season approaching, many criminal activities are taking place and police in eThekwini Inner and Outer West cluster warn businesses to be vigilant and, if possible, put more security measures in place to protect their businesses.
Recently, the cluster has experienced an increase in cellphone shop robberies with at least five being reported in Westville, Pinetown and Hillcrest policing areas.
The Cluster Commander, Major General James Sayer said, “Police in the eThekwini Inner and Outer West cluster will be working around the clock to prevent crime however; business owners are also urged to be proactive and vigilant in their businesses.”
Business owners are advised to call 08600 10111 when they notice any suspicious incidents around their premises.
