Man appears in court for shooting, killing dog in Winston Park

The accused handed himself in last week Friday and is set to appear again in court in January.

A GROUP of about 30 people protested outside the Pinetown Magistrate’s Court when the man accused of shooting a Winston Park dog appeared briefly this morning, Monday, 24 December.

The man was released on bail after he handed himself in on Friday, 21 December.

A case of cruelty to animals was opened by Hillcrest SAPS.

Blue Security’s community and media liaison officer, Andreas Mathios denied reports that the case has been thrown out of court and said the man will appear again in court in January.
