Armed response officers recover stolen goods in Gillitts

The robber evaded arrest as he ran into nearby bushes.

STOLEN goods were recovered after a house robbery in Worlds View Drive in Gillitts on Sunday morning.

Excellerate Services Armed Response and Tactical Intervention Units responded to a call regarding a house break-in in Gillitts on Sunday morning.

According to the group’s marketing manager, Grant Frost, the event took place at 6.48am.

“The client was on site when the house was broken into. The client heard the suspect attempting to break in through the shed and cut through the padlock when they made the call to our control room,” said Frost.

The suspect evaded arrest. All of the stolen items were recovered and returned to the owner. SAPS were contacted and a case was opened.
