Great strides made at TMC’s Long Walk
A few tears of joy were shed at the finish line of the school's 80km Long Walk.
ON Saturday, 16 March, hundreds of supporters laced up to take part in Thomas More College’s 57th 80km Long Walk.
Learners who achieved the milestone of finishing the 80kms were met with wide, open arms from moms and dads and even a few tears were shed by onlookers.
The educators who took on the challenge were cheered on by their learners, who were in such admiration for what they could do.

“It’s hard not to get a lump in your throat while standing at the finish line watching the walkers come through,” said the school’s admissions and marketing co-ordinator, Juliet Hartley
All the walkers were cheered and encouraged throughout the day from the spectators and stopping was almost not an option as the cheers carried participants through the pain.
“It was a hot day for everyone, but all our walkers achieved the impossible. Well done to all those that took part,” said Juliet.
