Winston Park hit-and-run accused to appear in court

The 43-year-old suspect was arrested in June for failing to report an accident and a case of culpable homicide was opened.

THE man charged for the death of a Winston Park jogger after he knocked him and abandoned the scene on Saturday, 8 June is due to appear in the Pinetown Magistrate’s Court tomorrow.

According to KZN police spokesperson, Cpt Nqobile Gwala, the body of a 36-year-old-man was found on the side of Jan Smut Road after he was hit by a vehicle.

The 43-year-old suspect was arrested for failing to report an accident and a case of culpable homicide was opened and investigated by Hillcrest SAPS.
