Fun galore at annual festive party in Botha’s Hill

Dozens of children from the Valley of 1000 Hills rang in the festive season with laughter and smiles during a Christmas party, hosted by the Pinelands Community Church.

THE laughter of children could be heard resounding across the valley in Botha’s Hill during the Pinelands Community Church’s annual Christmas party for underprivileged children.

“We want to share the same enjoyment we have for Christmas with children from the valley,” said Pastor Darryl Moonsamy.

The day was held to celebrate the children and to kick it off, there were jumping castles and face-painting as well as fun demonstrations from the SAPS explosives unit, the Durban Flying Squad, the dog unit and collision unit. Childline and the Hammarsdale Fire Department also made an appearance at the fun day.

Each child received a packet of sweets and a new gift-wrapped toy as well as lunch.

Darryl thanked the Highway Outreach Fellowship for allowing them to use their premises to host the event as well as the main sponsors, Rossburgh Motor Spares, Sanitecch, Rainbow Inflatables and SAPS.
