The meeting will be held in the meetings room, G4 below the Westville Library at 10am.

Cedric Sissing will be the guest speaker. Cedric is one of Durban’s legends in the world of bookselling and publishing.

He has been known as the ‘go to’ man for any type of book having spent 40 years at Adams Booksellers. With a vast contacts list, Cedric has been able to do what he does best, connecting people via books.

This has mostly been achieved with Joanne Rushby of Ike’s Books where they jointly host legendary book launches, bringing together a diverse group of Durban’s book lovers and providing an important literary space for ideas and partnerships to flourish

His topic will be Forty years at Adams Booksellers……and more. Members and non-members will enjoy an alfresco lunch in the garden alongside the meetings room.

After lunch a workshop by Ginny Porter titled ‘Sobbing in the Movies’ will be held for no longer than an hour.

Admission fees are R10 for SAWC Members and R20 for non-members. Guests and members can bring a plate of snacks to contribute towards lunch.

Visit their website at www.sawriters.org.za/about/ or contact the writer on 076 154 4621.

Sanelisiwe Tsinde

My name is Sanelisiwe Tsinde, and I'm a mother of two boys and very family-oriented. Being a community journalist for years, I can proudly say I love writing about positive community news articles and giving a voice to the voiceless. Seeing people getting assistance warms my heart. Every day is a different challenge and a new learning opportunity. I supply news for our trusted publication weekly, and a few years ago, Caxton ventured into online publication, so I contribute daily to the websites. I could say I am a multimedia journalist, and working in a community newspaper is beneficial as we do not focus on one thing but we do a bit of everything.
