It is alleged that on the same night, at about 7.30pm,  an elderly couple were watching TV at their home in Sarnia when four armed suspects stormed into the house and threatened the victims with firearms.

“The suspects ransacked the house and stole two television sets, laptops, jewellery, cell phones and a Hyundai vehicle. All suspects covered their faces with balaclavas. Police responded to the complaint and the stolen vehicle was involved in a collision in Malvern and all suspects abandoned the vehicle,” said Pinetown SAPS communications officer, Capt Bongumusa Manqele.

One suspect was arrested and is expected to appear in the Pinetown Magistrate’s Court soon.

I supply news for our trusted publication weekly, and a few years ago, Caxton ventured into online publication, so I contribute daily to the websites.
