Hillcrest SAPS urges residents to follow level 4 lockdown rules
Residents will be charged under the Disaster Management Act and will face prosecution if they fail to follow the regulations.
AS the country prepares to step into level 4 of the national lockdown, Hillcrest SAPS communications officer, Captain Linzi Smith, urges residents to abide by the new regulations.

“Hillcrest SAPS is issuing a warning to the community that from 1 May, when the national lockdown is lifted to a new phase, all community members, irrespective of who they are or where they work, will be instructed to wear a mask when going out and travelling to shops/work etc,” said Captain Smith.
“Any person found not wearing a mask will be charged under the Disaster Management Act and will face prosecution,” warned Cpt Smith.

“In the last week, Hillcrest SAPS charged 47 people for not complying with the regulations of the Disaster Management Act. We will not tolerate any excuses and no exceptions will be accepted,” she said.
