SAPS services continue uninterrupted, says police

If a station closes, an alternative venue and contact numbers are always provided.

POLICE have assured members of the public that their services will continue uninterrupted despite any closures of some of the stations.

“All essential services of the South African Police Service remain in place even if a police station is closed for decontamination. Service delivery is in no way compromised to members of the community,” read a post on the SAPS Facebook page.

“An alternative venue from where our members will operate, the Community Service Centre (CSC), as well as alternative telephone numbers are always provided.

“All employees of the South African Police Service remain committed to our duty to serve the people of South Africa without interruption. Essential public services like ours remain stable in this time of uncertainty.”

The South African Police is also available to serve the public through Crime Stop on 086 0010 111 (24/7 crime tip-off line) and SAPS Emergency line at 10111.

The public can also download the My SAPS app, a mobile app which a free crime Tip-Off mobile application available for smartphones on Google Play Store (Android) and Apple App Store (iOS).
