Take note of temporary road closure between Dinkelman Road and Wyebank station
Head of the eThekwini Transport Authority, Thami Manyathi advised commuters/drivers to leave a little earlier than usual for their destinations to avoid any possible congestion.
THE temporary closure of Dumisani Makhaye Road from Monday, 3 August will affect motorists, commuters, pedestrians, public transport operators and residents in the Pinetown, New Germany, Wyebank, KwaDabeka, Clermont and Newlands areas.

The traffic is due to switch direction from the Go!Durban Wyebank Station to 11th Avenue on Dinkelman Road.
eThekwini Municipality acting head of communications, Mandla Nsele said the closure is a result of further construction of the new duct crossings and storm water lines.
According to Nsele, the work is expected to be complete in September 2020.
“The public is urged to note that south bound traffic for approximately 1200 metres along Dinkelman and Dumisani Makhaye roads from Wyebank station to 11th Avenue station will be affected.”
Head of the eThekwini Transport Authority, Thami Manyathi advised residents and pedestrians in the alternate route areas to be mindful of the increase in traffic over this period between August and September 2020.
“We ask motorists to familiarise themselves with the traffic accommodation plans as detailed on the map provided and proceed with caution on alternate routes as these are in residential areas with schools,” said Manyathi.
