BEREA West Preparatory School initiated an outreach project for the Muthande Society for the Aged, based in Chesterville, in May.
The learners and their parents generously donated warm blankets, socks and beanies to add some warmth ahead of the chilly winter months. To thank the learners for their support, a civvies day was held on the final collection day and each learner was encouraged to wear a fun beanie or scarf on the day.

“Thank you to everybody who supported our winter warmth charity initiative. They were so gratefully received,” said the school’s Katja Howell.
