Help CROW create ‘grassy’ clinic enclosures
The non-profit organisation hopes to revamp the enclosures in its clinic by replacing the carpet with astroturf.
IN an attempt to create a more natural setting for the animals in its clinic enclosures, the Centre for Rehabilitation of Wildlife has called in its supporters to donate astroturf for the much-needed revamp.
“In the past we have used sample carpets for our clinic enclosures. They have been great in supplying our animals with soft, padded flooring while they recover from various injuries,” said the non-profit organisation’s operations director, Clint Halkett-Siddall.

He noted the astroturf, or fake grass, in the enclosures would create a more natural space for the animals in recovery.
“We are looking for any off cuts of fake grass or astroturf or a company willing to donate some. We can provide section 18A tax certificates in the case of donations,” he said.
Alternatively, residents can make a monetary contribution towards the purchase of astroturf.
