NSC matric results: Hillcrest High welcomes good results

The school managed to achieve a 98.96% pass rate despite the matric class of 2021 having to face two challenging years of disrupted academic study.

HILLCREST High School is proud of the set of results achieved by its matric class of 2021.

Despite the matric class of 2021 having to face two challenging years of disrupted academic study, they managed to achieve a 98.96% pass rate and a 77.32% Bachelor’s Degree pass.

Tarryn Boddy is Hillcrest High School’s top achiever. She shares the top spot with Anouk Klijnstra.

Of the 194 students who wrote, 227 subject distinctions were achieved. Anouk Klijnstra and Tarryn Boddy were the school’s top achievers with six distinctions each. They were followed by Allyssa Petronio, Olwethu Mathe, Ruth Broodryk (2021 head leader), Erin Barr, Charlotte Franklin and Yamkela Madonsela, who all received five distinctions each. A further eight learners each achieved four distinctions.

The academic head and deputy principal, Denise Knight, congratulated the class of 2021.

“We are very proud of our learners. Our thanks also go to our educators, parents and guardians for their continued support throughout the last year. We wish all of our 2021 matrics the very best for the future,” she said.
