Men lend a hand in animal rescue and care

Phakamani Empowerment shows support for animal rescue organisation.

JOINING forces with animal care and rescue organisations, Upper Highway Men’s Organisation has launched their Compass Cares Wildlife and Cats Calendar Project. The organisation will be helping rescue foundations to raise funds by selling calendars.

Phakamani Empowerment is a social-behaviour-change-communication and sexual-reproductive-health entity that focuses on increasing sexual-health knowledge and advocacy for safer sex practices and protected sex.

Explaining about the campaign, Phakamani Empowerment founder, Phakamani Ndlovu, said these calendars are a testament to their effort to make a positive impact in the lives of endangered wildlife, as well as feral cats and kittens.
“The funds raised from the sales of our calendars will significantly contribute to rehabilitating, rehoming, feeding, and caring for vulnerable wildlife and feline friends. We proudly support the organisation, CROW, and various other dedicated cat associations in their valiant efforts to nurture and protect these animals,” he said.

Ndlovu said they are supporting these organisations that save animals as they play an important role in society.
“We want generations after us to have an opportunity to see the actual animals. With some animals becoming endangered, we will end up without these animals and our kids will only see the photos in a gallery,” he said.

October 5 – 8, 13 – 15 and 27 – 29. November 3 – 5, 17 – 19 and 24 – 26. December 1 – 3 and 15 – 17.
