Multiple truck and vehicle collision affects traffic on the N3 Mariannhill Toll Plaza

Motorists are advised to avoid the N3 Durban-bound route near the Mariannhill Toll Plaza as medical services are attending to a multiple vehicle and truck collision.  

TRAFFIC has been severely affected on the N3 Durban-bound before the Mariannhill Toll Plaza after a multiple vehicle and truck collision.  

ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson reported that traffic has been severely affected as there is only one lane of traffic to go past the accident scene. Motorists are advised to avoid the route.

“Paramedics were called to the scene at around 09:30 to find total carnage as they found that two trucks and a light motor vehicle were involved in this accident. Two occupants, one from the vehicle and one from the truck – a passenger – had sustained injuries. They were stabilised on the scene and sent to a nearby hospital,” he said. 

Events leading to the accident are unknown, and SAPS are on the scene.
