St Mary’s executive principal, Jonathan Manley, commended the students for their exceptional performance. “Our congratulations go to Georgina Thornhill, Elizabeth Anderson, and Emma Stewart, who ranked in the top 5% for six of their subjects and placed in the top 1% for several subjects as well. Special recognition goes to Amy D’Eramo for placing in the top 5% in five subjects and achieving a top 1% ranking in geography,” he said.

Thornhill and Anderson achieved seven distinctions each in their final examinations and also earned two additional distinctions in their Further Studies mathematics exams, making all their results distinctions.

Manley highlighted the collective effort behind these achievements. “While we celebrate these outstanding results, it is a long journey through school, and each year plays a crucial role. Our girls’ ability to perform at this level is a testament to understanding and excelling at each stage of their education.”

He expressed gratitude to the entire teaching staff and acknowledged the role of parents. “I want to thank the ‘village’ of teachers who have guided this cohort of matrics and set them up for success. To the parents, your support and encouragement have provided your daughters with an excellent start in life. We look forward to hearing many success stories from this group of talented, compassionate, and hardworking young women.”
